Pakistan's foot in India's mouth ????

After almost a month of one-way verbal attacks on Pakistan, and the world support now clearly coming for Pakistan's balanced approach, it is fun to watch Indian Politicians and Media people these days, sometimes actually hilarious.

They were, together, trying to round Pakistan up for an internal problem they had in Mumbai. They almost convinced the world that they will attack Pakistan if it did not hand over the 20-40 people they have named. Now what they did was a risky game. There were only 2 options:

  • Either Pakistan would buckle, and say "OK economic Power :D" you are too strong for us, here are these guys, and this would have done wonder for India:
  1. It would have had at-least one nation in the world except herself who called her an economic power.
  2. Congress would have got a crucial election support it needed.
  3. BJP/RSS could have gone out of lime light they received after it was confirmed that they were behind the Samjhota Express and Malegaon attacks.
  4. Indian Army, who's serving officers are involved in terrorism (like Col. Prohit) would get a pat on the back for the terror they created in Pakistan.
  • Or, Pakistan would stand the pressure, and would succeed to convince the world that terrorism in India is home-grown. It is only trying to get out of its internal woes through Pakistan-bashing.

Unfortunately for them, the latter happened. Pakistan's actions over the past month have been very graceful. They have handled not only India but the entire world very wisely, and its no wonder that now almost every country in the world has refused to believe in Indian stories until evidence is provided. US, China, Iran, Saudia and may in EU have lauded Pakistan's level-headed approach, and have refused to jump into India's war-wagon.

Indian Media
After threatening Pakistan for an attack for about a month, its funny that Indian Media is now calling us "bellicose neighbor". In stories carried by almost all Indian papers and TV channels, they are saying that the Lahore blast was a ploy to involve an "innocent" Indian citizen called Satish Anand Shukla, a resident of Kolkata, who in his innocence, named himself Munner Ahmed, and was living in Lahore for many months, and was arrested with weapons and sensitive maps of Pakistan.

Mukherjee
Similarly, Mr. Mukherjee, who has been trying his best to tell the world that India will attack Pakistan if it does not "do" what India wants, is now asking Pakistan to "lower the war hysteria". He literally threatened Pakistan of extinction and now he is suggesting that there is "no question of giving an ultimatum" to Pakistan.

This is only convincing Pakistan that the best India is an India with a foot in her mouth. As long as you treat them gracefully, try to be their friends; they will accuse you for being responsible for their internal problems. Tell them you are going to kick their butts, and they will start behaving.

Morale of the Story: Pakistan should consider keeping a permanent foot in India's mouth (really ???)

For the Indian Media, I request them to show restraint as Pakistan did. Nobody from Pakistan's government have yet accused India of Lahore blast. To arrest involved people is our right. The investigations are underway and as soon as enough evidence is available, Pakistan will tell you what Mr. Skhula did.

It is not bad approach, believe me; to pause, think and investigate well before accusing your neighbors. Otherwise, all you are left with is your own spit to lick.

Cheers: ZAK

p.s: All Pakistanis condemn Bombay blasts. They were barbarian acts and we sincerely hope India will soon be able to bring the perpetrators of this act to justice. However, level-headedness has to be your weapon, not rhetoric.
